If you've ever worn Merino wool, you'll know how special it is. So when I came across this fabric which is a blend of merino wool and silk, I absolutely jumped at the chance to stock it. It's a dream to touch - wonderfully soft and yet oh so warm. 

Merino wool is exceptional at thermoregulation and is renowned for being breathable. It'll keep you cool in warm weather, and warm in chillier temperatures. It's perfect for thermoregulation as it'll wick moisture away from the skin and has natural odour resistance. Plus it is crease-resistant. It doesn't get much better! There's a reason it's used so much in activewear, baselayers and luxe garments.

This fabric is a dark black/grey colour with a very faint stripe running from selvedge to selvedge. This is caused by the weave changing, not a colour change, so the stripe can look more/less pronounced from different angles. It's probably more faint in real life than in the pictures.

This jersey is smooth against the skin and has a soft, fluid drape. It would suit garments that fit next to the skin like a baselayer, or looser fitting t-shirts, tops and lightweight cardigans. It is closer to a t-shirt weight jersey, rather than a heavier-weight jumper fabric.

We sell our fabric by the half metre – PRICES SHOWN ARE PER HALF METRE.  If you would like a metre then add ‘2’ in the quantity box. For example:

  • 0.5m    = 1
  • 1m       = 2
  • 1.5m    = 3
  • 2m       = 4
  • 2.5m    = 5
  • 3m       = 6

And so on… All orders will be cut in continuous lengths, unless you ask otherwise.
