We're exhibiting this Summer at 'Thread' and 'Open Studios'

I'm delighted that Bornella Fabrics will be at a couple of shows this summer, and beyond... 

Thread... a Festival of Textiles - Friday 13th & Saturday 14th June

I am back at 'Thread... a Festival of Textiles' for another year, and I cannot wait. Thread takes place at Farnham Maltings, in Farnham, Surrey on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th June 2025, 9:30am-5pm. You can expect a fantastically curated selection of small, independent businesses that cover everything from fabrics, haberdashery, garment and lingerie making, quilting, bag making and more. And all set in a gorgeous venue with a lovely cafe. It's a real treat to visit and definitely worth a trip. Like many events, tickets are cheaper in advance.

Open Studios - Sunday 8th June

I've been a bit quiet about it, but Bornella Fabrics moved out of my spare room and into a proper studio at the beginning of March. I had long-term ambitions to be in an official premises and now it's happened. My studio is in an artists studio complex in South-East London SE18, near the Thames Barrier. It holds 550 studios in one site - everything from artists, print makers, woodwork, pottery, jewellery, sculptors, authors and so much more. Normally access to the site is for studio owners only, however one weekend a year it throws the gates open to the general public and you can explore the site, the artists & makers workshops and, of course, my little shop.

The event is for 2 days but I will only be there on the second day, Sunday 8th June. Bornella Fabrics is in located in Unit 0-211. If you want to attend, drop me a line on tanya@bornellafabrics.co.uk so I know to expect you (and if you get lost in the complex then I can guide you in)!

Beyond the summer...

It's taken a really long time to get the studio up and running (and there's still a little way to go) however I'm at the stage that I'll soon be able to offer 'Appointment Only' visits so you can feel before you buy. More details to follow...

I'm also going to be exhibiting at Knit + Stitch show at Alexandra Palace in October so pop the 9-12th October 2025 in your diary.
