We're sponsoring #SewSkinSummer25

There's a brand new sewing challenge on the block... #SewSkinSummer25! Hosted by Lucy Fennessy - @the_sewing_gardener - this challenge coincides with Melanoma and Carcinoma awareness month. There's a £25 Bornella Fabrics voucher up for grabs, along with lots of other great prizes. 

To participate, we're invited to sew a summer garment or accessory that helps provide added skin protection. Some ideas include:

• maxi dress
• jumpsuit
• bag to hold your suncream
• bermuda shorts
• oversized shirt
• beach cover-up
• rash top/vest
• hat

You get the idea. Have fun, cover up and apply sunscreen.

(And on a personal note, my Dad is currently undergoing radiotherapy treatment for skin cancer so it's important to cover up and stay safe for today and the future.
